ACM Awards 2020: Luke Combs wins Male Artist of the Year, joyous fans say 'now let’s get you some Grammy love'
The 55th Academy of Country Music Awards held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. The event was live from Nashville, Tennessee, for the first time in history. Hosted by first-time host singer Keith Urban, the awards had a stellar run honoring some of the biggest names and emerging talents in the country music industry. To further, amplify the entertainment quotient, the awards had many dazzling and incredible performances by Taylor Swift, Tenille Townes, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban with P!NK, Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan and many more.
Luke Combs won the Male Artist of the Year award. The nomination for the category had Dierks Bentley, Luke Combs, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton and Keith Urban. ACM awards tweeted about the announcement congratulating the artiste.

No sooner than the award was announced, Luke’s fans stormed the Internet congratulating him. Many said that the artiste will now head for numerous prestigious nominations. A fan wrote, “Congratulations Man!! Two ACM awards tonight!! Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year!!! Now let’s get you multiple nominations for the Grammys and some Grammy Love!”

Another said that the artiste is well deserving. “Great night. Well deserved. You are a real human and it shows. Congrats!” A fan wrote admiring him. “Combs, can I please have your email? I just want to write to you and thank you about it tonight. My kids made me watch your ACM awards moment, they love you and it takes a lot for me to show emotion and it touch me. I appreciate you. Some felt that he should have won Entertainment of The Year too that went to Thomas Rhett and Carrie Underwood. “Thomas Rhett comes out of left field an inning late and Carrie somehow ALSO wins entertainer of the year but not female vocalist? I can't. Where is Kanye to interrupt when you need him?! Even if my bias hoped for Chief, how in God's green earth did Luke Combs not win?” Another sharing a personal incident wrote, “Ok so my mom loves country music (Taylor's music as well) and she always plays these songs in my house so I can sing every single to Luke Combs "when it rains it pours" and I honestly just found out”.
