Olivia Newton-John, the iconic pop legend who gave us classic hits like 'Physical' and the beloved character of Sandy Olsson in the 1978's musical hit 'Grease' died aged 73 on Monday, August 8. The damning news left incalculable people feeling the tragic loss, and many of her co-stars and artists came forward to pay tributes to the four-time Grammy award winner. Now, people are linking her death to the infamous Aaron Ramsay curse which resurfaced after Olivia's news. Ramsey scored quickly in only one minute after coming off the bench to rescue a 1-1 draw on his debut for Nice in their Ligue 1 clash against Toulouse. 

The 73-year-old singer and actress was fighting breast cancer for 30 years and was bleak in her last days. While her death was due to her illness, some people over the Internet could not help but debate and link it to the Aaron Ramsey curse. For those who do not know, the Welsh professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ligue 1 club Nice has a stigma attached to his name, i.e., the curse. Many people have linked the dates of his goals to the death of celebrities, and it's as spooky as it gets. Death of famous people like Whitney Houston, Steve Jobs, Paul Walker, David Bowie, Nancy Reagan, José Rafael Videla, Robin Williams, and even Osama Bin Laden more or less coincided with Ramsey's goals. The curse says that every time Ramsey scores a goal, a famous person is doomed to die. For example, a day after he scored against Sunderland in 2012, Whitney Houston died on February 11, 2012. Now, the Internet is debating whether Olivia Newton-John is the latest victim of this infamous curse.

Internet debates the Aaron Ramsey curse

According to the statement posted by Olivia's husband, John Easterling, she passed away peacefully on her Ranch in Southern California, only a day after Ramsey scored his leveling goal. Is her death connected to his goal? Let's check out his other witnesses. Former US Senator Ted Kennedy died in 2009 three days after Ramsey scored against Portsmouth. Andrés Monte, a Spanish football and basketball commentator, died in 2009 two days after Ramsey scored his first goal with Wales. A day after he scored against Manchester United, Osama Bin Laden was assassinated in 2011, and three days after he scored against Tottenham Hotspur, Steve Jobs died in 2011 as well. 

Some people got together to link Olivia's death to this curse. One user tweeted, "7th August - Aaron Ramsey scores in a 1-1 draw for OGC Nice against Toulouse.. 8th August - Olivia Newton-John passes away.. (three shocked emojis) The curse continues..." Another user wrote, "Aaron Ramsey scores then Olivia Newton-John dies.. the curse is real." One more user tweeted, "This Aaron Ramsey curse is reaching serial killer documentary levels."

One user couldn't help but point out the dates of certain celebrities' death and connect them with Ramsey's scoring days saying, "The Aaron Ramsey Curse started off as a joke, but its long past the point of that. Those are some heavy hitters he's killed off. Williams, Jobs, Bin Laiden, Whitney, Oliver Newton John. He's an injury prone centre midfielder. He doesnt score many, but when he does, big names drop." One user, on the day Olivia died, begged Ramsey to stop playing football saying, "That Aaron Ramsey curse isnt even a joke anymore the guy needs to stop playing football." Another user tweeted, "The curse of Aaron Ramsey has happened again . When he scores a celeb dies .. RIP OLIVA NEWTON JOHN."
