As this season of '60 Days In' comes to an end, the tension in the women's pod at the Etowah County jail is at an all-time high.

Shanese, after a "whiny" time in the pod, goes home this week and undercover police officer Ashley blows her own cover. Ashley's response to a situation with a mentally ill inmate named Sierra really gives her away, after she grabs her by the legs and prevents her from falling over the railing. The inmates conclude that her tact was too good to not be law enforcement.

While what Ashley did was an absolutely great thing, we know that this was coming for her. She has been actively drawing attention to herself by becoming a trustee and getting officer Williams fired when she should have been just a fly on the wall. While we love Ashley for being such an active member in the program, collectively better than all the contestants this season, it has definitely put her in a vulnerable place.

The ordeal started after Shanese started talking about how she is "done with it" and "is over it" — implying that she was on a show. Careless and reckless, she even threatens Jennifer and Ashley that she would blow their covers. Ashley has been constantly consoling Shanese and that had already put a target on her back — the Sierre situation was just the final touch.

If you remember, last week Ashley cleaned up Sierra's cell, despite all the feces and urine inside. This week, she got her permission to shower and cleaned her up again. Unfortunately, her kindness makes it clear to the inmates that she had something else on her agenda apart from waiting for bail.

She's already getting death threats and inmates screaming at her saying they would give her what she was looking for — leaving Ashley in some serious danger. What will be her next move?

'60 Days In' airs at 9/8c on Thursdays on A&E.
