'6 Underground': Fans swoon over Ryan Reynolds and want more of the Michael Bay action in a sequel
This Friday, Netflix dropped its latest movie — Michael Bay's '6 Underground' starring the inimitable Ryan Reynolds along with Mélanie Laurent, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Ben Hardy, Adria Arjona, and Corey Hawkins.
As we have written before, Ryan Reynolds effortlessly pulls off comic roles with absolute zeal and he continues to do so in '6 Underground'. Fans are enjoying what they call "the most Michael Bay movie ever" and this soon follows with praise for the lead actor.
Reynolds' One is "The Billionaire", the leader of a rogue special ops team that works to take down the cruel dictator of a fictional country named Turgistan — many of the shots featuring this "country" were actually shot in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
One fan writes about Reynolds in the film, "Ryan Reynolds proves once again why his comeback as a leading man is well-deserved, balancing kitsch and charisma with precision. #6Underground."
Another added about the actor, "@VancityReynolds you're like a fine wine, you get better and better with age, loving #6Underground."
'6 Underground' joins a long list of blockbuster hits belonging to Reynolds — a list that includes the likes of 'Deadpool', 'Detective Pikachu', and 'The Hitman's Bodyguard'.
A fan of the actor tweeted, "@VancityReynolds just started watching 6 Underground. It proves that post-DC Ryan Reynolds can change anything into pure comic gold. I love your work. A fan who also loved green lantern and X-Men Wolverines Weapon X."
Viewers are calling Reynolds "the master of action-comedy" after the release of '6 Underground', with one adding that Reynolds is the perfect casting for the movie because he is "the lovechild of Michael Bay and Victoria’s Secret catalog."
Of course, fans have not had enough with the one movie and are hoping that Reynolds teams up with Michael Bay to make more movies, perhaps even sequels to '6 Underground'. One fan tweeted, "@VancityReynolds just got done with #6Underground and holy s**t! That movie was amazing, I hope you make more!"
