The CMA celebrates the best of modern country music in America and this year, it just got bigger and better! The 53rd edition of one of the biggest music nights in the country, CMA 2019 promises a star-studded event live from the Bridgestone Arena from the home of American country music, Nashville, Tennessee. This year, the event will recognize and commemorate some of the best music released, musicians, and much more. For the first time ever, CMA will have female country music legends like Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, and Carrie Underwood hosting the show, along with an opening performance by Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Crystal Gayle, The Highwomen, Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Tanya Tucker, and Gretchen Wilson.

The 53rd Annual CMA Awards ceremony will air live on Wednesday, November 13, at 8/7 c on ABC, directly relayed from Nashville, TN.

2019 will be a special day for the Country Music Awards. The evening will be spearheaded by award-winning modern country singer, Carrie Underwood who will host the show and also sweep you off your feet with her opening performance. This is Underwood’s 12th time hosting the CMA. To make the evening more impactful, you will also have the pleasure of seeing country music veterans and legends like Dolly Parton as special guest host, along with Reba McEntire.

Key Nominations

For CMA 2019, Maren Morris leads with 6 nominations, including Song of the Year, and Album of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year while vocal duo Dan+Shay follow with 4 nominations across four categories. Then we also have Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Chris Stapleton, and Eric Church as nominees for Entertainer of The Year. For Album of The Year category, Thomas Rhett’s Center Point Road and Carrie Underwood’s ‘Cry Pretty’ are ruling the list. Rising singers like Cody Johnson and Ashley McBryde are two of the popular nominations from the New Artist of The Year category.
