Jared Leto 'excited to share what’s to come', is 30 Seconds to Mars working on a new album?
It looks like alt-rock group 30 Seconds to Mars have something big up their sleeve for fans and the news of a new album may just be a part of it.
The group took to their social media on August 23 to share another photo of lead singer Jared Leto in the studio but with one additional detail. After confirming last month that there will be a new album, Leto added that he is "excited " for "what's to come" and that they are celebrating the three-year anniversary of their smash single 'Walk on Water'.
"Excited to share what’s to come 🎙️🎤🎧🎶🎵🕺🏻🕺🏻We’re celebrating 3 years since #WALKONWATER was released - what does it mean to you to walk on water? 🌊🌊" the band wrote on both their Instagram and Twitter accounts. Fans on Twitter were quick to respond to the question. "That I can win every fight (at least these with myself xd)," said a fan while another wrote, "You can do anything without limitation."

Thank you 30stm 😘❤💪
'Walk on Water' was released on August 22, 2017, is the first work by 30 Seconds to Mars to be released by Interscope, after the band parted from Virgin Records due to tumultuous years with the label. The song is an electronic rock song that takes themes of gospel and arena rock.
Leto has described it as "a song for everybody due to its universal message." The track's lyrics deal "with such topics as freedom, persistence, change and fighting for what one believes in." In an interview with Loudwire, Leto explained that the song is a "call to arms but also full of all the optimism and hope that is such an integral part of the American Dream."
Album confirmation
On July 30, Leto previously posted another photo of himself recording vocals in the studio and called on social media followers to suggest the title for a new album. In the caption he wrote, “Guess what? 🎤 🎶 P.S. What should we call the new album?”
What to expect
With few teasers and announcements, it is not clear what themes we can expect on the new record, but considering that guitarist Tomo Milicevic departed from the group in 2018 we may get a new sound. The group is now down to two members, Jared Leto and Shannon Leto on drums, so it will certainly be interesting to see their creative vision on a new LP.
