Blackpink's '24/365 with Blackpink' Episode 5 drops, fans hail 'long overdue' collaboration with Ariana Grande

Their Blinks fanbase also reacted to the tough times the group had gone through, such as living with cockroaches and got emotional as they listened to their angelic voices on 2NE1 songs

The K-pop stars Blackpink, who are now the biggest girl band on the international stage, just dropped another installment of their '24/365 with Blackpink' series. In Episode 5, the girls reflected on the tough times they had been through, such as living with cockroaches and centipedes, and also entertained their emotional Blinks fanbase with their gorgeous harmonies as they went through some lovely renditions of 2NE1 songs and even 'Price Tag' by Jessie J. The members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa had previously revealed that their latest record 'The Album' would be dropping on October 2, and it comes with what fans call a long "overdue" collaboration with the pop diva Ariana Grande. The group had previously worked with big names like Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa. Blackpink's label YG Entertainment recently made the announcement that Episode 5 of '24/365 with Blackpink' had now dropped, cueing mass hysteria from their army of fans. 

In the comments section, plenty of Blinks were praising their queens for their new upcoming collaboration with a mystery guest, whom fans have deduced is probably Ariana Grande. One emotional fan posted, "ARIPINK [Ariana Grande] IS MY WHOLE LIFE. THANK YOU BLACKPINK AND ARIANA GRANDE FOR THIS AMAZING NEW SONG. I LOVE YOU ALL AND I CAN NOT EXPRESS HOW HAPPY I AM ABOUT THIS AMAZING COLLAB. YOU GUYS ARE THE REVOLUTION AND ARIPINK IS HERE TO BREAK AMAZING RECORDS AND GET A #1. THANK YOU!"

Another happy follower enthusiastically stated, "ARIPINK I AM SO PROUD OF YOU. AFTER ALL THESE YEARS OF PROVING YOUR LEGACY IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE, AND MOVING A GENERATION OF BOTH PEOPLE AND WOMEN TO BECOME JUST LIKE YOU, YOU HAVE OBTAINED THE MOST ANTICIPATED COLLAB WHICH YOU ARE SO LONG OVERDUE FOR."

Some of the highlights from Episode 5 of '24/365 with Blackpink' included the revelation that the girls once lived with cockroaches and centipedes while staying together in a dormitory. Rosè got quite emotional reminiscing about those early years, which prompted one fan to say, "When Rosè cried, I could not stop but cry too, they've gone through so much, they deserve the world." Another sympathetic viewer said, "[These] Girls had lots of hard times that we don't even know." One Blink also declared, "This is why there is no such thing as 'Blackpink overrated' because they had to sacrifice, leave their homes and families at a young age, and work hard to be where they are today just like everyone else in the industry." After finding out that Lisa had the guts to actually hold a centipede, one fan exclaimed, "So not only is Lisa the youngest of the group but also she is the bravest?? 😍😍"

Fans were also treated to a beautiful rendition of covers like 'Price Tag' by Jessie J, then 'Lonely' by 2NE1, who were the girls' K-pop predecessors, and 'You and I', a song by Park Bom from 2NE1. After the girls sang those gorgeous tracks, one fan noted, "This is my favorite episode. Hearing our queens singing their queen seniors' songs, I almost cried. I loved to hear Blackpink singing 2NE1 songs. Idk, but if you are fan of both groups you'll understand. BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA <3." 

One Blink also exclaimed, "Rosés voice is like an angel when she played her guitar and sang together it's so lovely." Another fan said, "Eyy Blackpink sitting together, talking about precious memories, Rosé with a guitar, everyone harmonizing and singing (being Blackjacks) together is what we needed!  And Jennie is very underrated as a vocalist." Another Blink stated, "To all the haters saying they can't HARMONIZE... listen to this♥️ Also the smooth transition between the songs♥️" Other adoring fans also hailed their spirit of camaraderie after Jennie stated, "I honestly wish all of us as a group can shine together", and dropped plenty of "Awww" comments.

One fan observed, "Jennie lowkey Blackpink’s leader. We can all see that the Pinks trust and follow her lead. She helped Jisoo when she first entered, she made Rosie feel at home, and taught her dancing, communicated with Lisa in English even though she wasn’t allowed. She trained the longest and helped each of the Pinks grow when she had no one. And after meeting the Pinks, they in return helped Jennie. All the Pinks helped each other grow."
