Cardi B steals the show at 2021 AMAs
Cardi B stole the red carpet look as she got decked up in a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture by Daniel Roseberry. The golden mask was the highlight of the entire fit. Amidst her busy schedule, the renowned emcee quickly took to Twitter to share a picture of hers straight from the venue. She captioned the post as, “We just gettin started over here….. @AMAs”.
The Queen of hip-hop has earlier won AMAs five times and this year she managed to score three nominations i.e. Favourite Music Video, Favourite Female Artist - Hip-Hop and Favourite Song - Hip-Hop. Speaking on hosting the show, Cardi in a statement said, as reported by Billboard, “When I received the invite to host the AMAs, I was so excited. I’m ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage! Thank you to Jesse Collins, ABC and MRC for making this happen.” The 2021 AMAs saw a few early winners in the form of Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, The Weeknd, Silk Sonic, Taylor Swift and Kanye West.
With her golden mask look, she in total pulled off eight looks at 2021 AMAs. While the golden mask look stole the show on the red carpet, the rapper opted for a black velvet high-neck gown with couture feather headpiece by Alexandre Vauthier for her very first look on the stage. She then changed the outfit to a black velvet coat dress. She teamed it up with sparkling shoulder detail and boots.
Cardi B was seen later in a bright yellow Jean Paul Gaultier gown as she accepted the award for favorite hip-hop song for ‘Up’. As the show progressed, the female emcee showed her love towards purple. She looked stunning in a purple velvet Jean-Louis Sabaji gown while announcing the next few line-ups. Later in the show, Cardi sported a black-and-white structured bustier and sheer along with fingerless gloves. A leather outfit too got the equal attention as she took care of her hosting duties. For her final look, Cardi B went all-white as topped an asymmetrical pleated skirt with a jeweled hood.
