'Good Trouble', besides offering immense drama, humor, heartwarming and heart-wrenching moments, has gained a reputation for itself in the realm of television by using the platform for authentic representation of social issues.

Not only has the coming-of-age spin-off series of 'The Fosters' served as an icing on the cake for the original but it has also come across as groundbreaking with its realistic approach towards exploring the lives of the characters.

An extremely talented and gorgeous Zuri Adele plays Malika Williams on 'Good Trouble', who is one of the most-discussed characters on the show. In an exclusive interview with MEA Worldwide (MEAWW), Zuri revealed that her character will witness major developments in Season 2B.

William's passion for equal rights has played a pivotal role in 'Good Trouble' since the series' inception. The actress told MEAWW that playing Malika has been really cathartic for her and feels it is "such an honor".

However, there is more to Zuri's character besides her activism. When asked about the audience's acceptance of Malika, she said, "So many people see themselves in Malika. People of all genders, all ethnicities, all ages, from all walks of life."

Explaining further, she said that's probably "because she's a former foster kid or because she's so fiercely independent or she's got some walls up when it comes to romance or as an activist."

Speaking of love and romance, development in her relationship with Isaac is something fans have been rooting for. Zuri says Season 2B wouldn't disappoint viewers as it has some big plans for Malika and Isaac. "The relationship is going to keep people on the edge of their seats," she said.

"I would say the walls come crumbling down for both Isaac and Malika which is really beautiful as we see sides of both Isaac and Malukah that we've never seen before. And, we get to see what choices they make in order to set their egos aside and to show up for each other or not," she added.

When we told her viewers have high expectations from the latest season, Zuri teased, "They should have a box of tissues at hand. They can expect to be on a roller coaster of emotion."

"I would say everything is further intensified. Melissa is taking really big risks in her life. She does show up for other people, and now she's showing up for herself in many ways and it's gonna be really powerful to watch," she added.

'Good Trouble' Season 2B airs on Freeform on Wednesdays.
