Zooey Deschanel and BF Jonathan Scott visit Academy Museum in LA with family on Christmas Eve
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emmy-nominated actress Zooey Deschanel brought her family to the Academy Museum in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve with her boyfriend of 3 years, 'Property Brothers' producer Jonathan Scott. The 42-year-old native of Los Angeles clung tenaciously to her two children, Charlie Wolf, 5, and Elsie Otter, 7, who she shares with ex-husband Jacob Pechenik. Zooey and Jacob split in 2020.
Deschanel and Jonathan met up with the former's sister 'Devil in Ohio' actress Emily Deschanel, who came to the family gathering at the LACMA complex with her son Henry, 11. Inside, Deschanel and Scott posed for a photo in front of a projection of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, which Scott posted to his Instagram with the caption, "Hey Zooey….I love Christmassing with you." The '500 Seconds of Summer' actress replied, "I love Christmasing with you back!"

Deschanel was wearing a plaid skirt over some black stockings, which she paired with a black warm sweatshirt and a brown sling bag. She completed the look with some black platform wedges. Her boyfriend, Scott, was seen wearing a Christmas sweater with blue jeans and grey boots.
"Jonathan and I both are huge Christmas holiday enthusiasts, so it's kind of our favorite time of year," Deschanel told People last week. "Jonathan and I are really looking forward to having a wonderful Christmas with [my kids] and with our families. We've just moved into a new home so we're so excited to be able to host some of the holiday festivities here."
"I love baking with my kids," the 'New Girl' actress further added. "A lot of times I'm touring during Christmas, but She and Him is not touring this year, so hopefully we'll get a little bit of caroling in, and I love making Christmas cookies. [Jonathan] cleans up. It's not like he can't cook, but cooking, I'm good at and it's something I enjoy. And he's like, 'Okay, if you give me a recipe, I can do it.' But it's not like he is like, 'Oh yay, I get to cook!'"
