Beauty Queen Zoe Sozo Bethel died on Friday, February 18, after she sustained irreparable injuries following an accident almost a week ago. Zoe Sozo Bethel, who won the Miss Alabama title in 2021, was 27 at the time of her death. The news of her demise was shared by her family with an official statement posted on her Instagram. “On Friday, February 18, 2022, at approximately 5:30AM Eastern time in Miami, Florida, our beloved Zoe Sozo Bethel passed from this life into the next as a result of succumbing to her injuries,” they wrote.
The news of Zoe Sozo Bethel’s death comes days after the legendary actor and comedian Louie Anderson died on January 21. He was admitted to the hospital days earlier after being diagnosed with cancer but sadly could not make it. Bob Saget is another icon that Hollywood lost on January 9. Speaking of celebrity deaths, Betty White died at 99 of natural causes on December 31, 2021. Chick Vennera, DMX, Jay Black, and Jeanette Maus are other public figures who passed away last year leaving their loyal fans devastated.

Zoe Sozo Bethel was born in 1994 and was known to be a conservative commentator. She was actively involved in projects like Project Veritas, Liberty University, and Turning Point USA, as reported by the Heavy. The mother of one was also a reporter for Right Side Broadcasting Network and a brand ambassador and executive producer of Miss Liberty USA. She was reportedly represented by Ursula Wiedmann Models & Talent agency and had done multiple shoots which were available at Glacier Model Management.

Zoe’s family had shared a detailed post on Instagram a week ago where they spilled the details on her brain damage. The statement read, “Zoe had an accident Thursday night, February 10th, & sustained severe damage to her brain/brainstem & is in a coma. Unfortunately, the doctors are saying the damage cannot be repaired & that she may not have much time left” adding, “We are praying for God's will to be done, regardless of what that may look like. This has been an abrupt & very traumatizing situation for our family, & we can imagine how much of a shock this will also be to everyone who knows & cares for her.”
However, it seems Zoe could not recover from the accident. Though not confirmed but multiple reports claim it might have been a car accident. Paying a touching tribute to her, the family stated, “At this time of bereavement, effectual and fervent prayers are solicited for the family members, and the family asks that their privacy wishes be honored and respected” adding, “The family members sincerely appreciate all of the kind words and expressions of love for Zoe.”
