Zayn Malik removes tattoo of ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid's eyes from his chest, fans say 'war is over'

Zayn Malik appears to have completely moved on from his relationship with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, as per his recent post on Instagram. The 'Better' hitmaker uploaded an image of himself on the social media platform on Friday, January 27. In the new photo, the singer is wearing a knitted jacket with his tattooed chest exposed. What has caught the eye of many is that Malik's infamous tattoo of his former partner's eyes was nowhere to be seen. 

The image clicked under a monotone lens shows the former One Direction member flashing his tattooed chest while posing in front of a microphone, seemingly hinting that he's working on his fourth studio album. Moreover, the tattoo of Gigi's eyes is no longer visible. Malik got his ex-girlfriend’s eyes inked on his body back in 2018, three years after the pair began dating. At the time, it was his girlfriend who debuted the tattoo on her Instagram page with a boomerang of the ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker who was bare-chested and dancing on his 25th birthday on January 12. However, the model received a ton of backlash from internet trolls who accused her of seeking attention.

"You guys can call it promo but I just posted about my boyfriend like anyone else," she wrote on her Instagram at the time, as per AceShowbiz. "I don't need his follow -- my eyes are tattooed to his chest," she further added, referring that Malik did not follow her on Instagram back then. 

Soon after their breakup in March 2018, fans slammed Malik for once again inking himself with a girlfriend's name or face and then ending the relationship. Malik has previously tattooed his ex-girlfriend Perrie Edwards’ face on his arm. The former pair ended their relationship in March 2015. The 'Dusk Till Dawn' hitmaker covered up the tattoo of his former fiance with a new inking in August 2016, as per Hello! magazine.

His breakup with Hadid led to a string of fans mocking him. One Twitter user wrote, "ZAYN GOT PERRIE TATTOOED ON HIMSELF AND GIGI'S EYES ON HIS CHEST AND NONE OF THE RELATIONSHIPS LASTED... ZAYN SWEETIE." 

Backtracking to Malik covering up yet another tattoo of his ex-girlfriend, fans have expressed their joy on the internet. An exhilarated fan wrote, "ZAYN COVERED GIGI'S EYES LET'S GOOO." Another fan posted a close-up image of Malik's chest and tweeted, "Zayn covered Gigi's eyes tattoo from his chest!!" Another tweet read, "The way everyone is happy about Zayn removing Gigi’s eyes … war is over fr" A fan tweeted, "Gigi’s eyes r gone from his chest."
