LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Country singers Zach Bryan’s take on Bud Light’s ad campaign featuring transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney has left his fans divided on the internet. The 27-year-old wrote, “I mean no disrespect towards anyone specifically, I don’t even mind @Travistritt. I just think insulting transgender people is completely wrong because we live in a country where we can all just be who we want to be It’s a great day to be alive I thought.”

He also posted, “and @Travistritt I love Jack Daniels (my dogs name) and I will drink enough for both of us I promise.” In another tweet, the ‘Something in the Orange’ singer added, “And yo I don’t support transgender people attacking swimmers I just have family transitioning and have blood to defend here No one threaten me pls.”

‘Insulting women is fine though?’

Bryan’s tweet was in response to the ‘It's a Great Day to Be Alive’ singer Travis Tritt, who shared on Twitter that he “will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same.”

But Bryan’s support of Mulvaney did not sit well with many as a critic asked, “Do you have anything to say about the trans that murdered 6 people?” The second one wrote, “Insulting women is fine though? Because that's what Mulvaney's grift is about.”

The third one said, “What are the serious bathroom and dressing room issues? Heterosexual looking men in the street, in church, as our bosses…those are where the serious issues are. Women are subjected to more harassment at work than in a bathroom with a trans person. You KNOW this.”

“It’s not hate to stand up for women’s rights. How can you possibly say that men in women’s sport, women’s prisons, women’s shelters doesn’t affect WOMEN?!” the fourth critic stated and the fifth one noted, “The Dylan guy bud light put on their cans insults women every day. Let's hear you say something about that.”

‘Appreciate you saying this’

There were tons of people who backed Bryan with a supporter tweeting, “There you go Zach cheers.” Another supporter mentioned, “Nice one, Zach. Appreciate you saying this.” The third one remarked, “Trans people should have the freedom to be who they are. Period. End of statement. How does that affect anyone else to allow trans individuals to live their best life? I don't understand why we have to put so much energy into hating other people.”

“Damn right. Life is too short, let people live however makes them happy. Especially when it doesn't infringe on your own life,” the fourth noted and fifth one shared, “Zach, thank you for speaking up on this. It’s so needed especially in the country music world.”

"As a queer fan of yours i really appreciate you speaking out! i know you have queer family members and i just love seeing how much you support and love your sister!! very comforting and affirming to have one of your favorite artist publicly show support for your community," a tweet added.
