YouTube Originals’ ‘Hello 2021: the Americas’: How to live stream, Time, Host, Performers and all about New Year’s special event
New Year’s is surely going to be special despite the unfortunate coronavirus casting its dreading shadow. Many of the social media giants and streaming networks are dropping their respective New Year’s virtual live events. One of the biggest and the most happening virtual events is being planned by YouTube Originals aptly called ‘Hello 2021: the Americas.’ The event will see heavyweights from music take over the stage but minus the live audience.
Speaking about the event, YouTube Global Head of Original Content Susanne Daniels said, as reported by The Brag, “With the world ready to move past an extremely challenging year, YouTube will use its global reach to celebrate the hope and promise of 2021. We look forward to closing the book on 2020 and throwing a worldwide celebration that our YouTube community can safely enjoy from home.” Here’s everything you need to know about one of the biggest New Year’s event.
Host
YouTube Originals’ ‘Hello 2021: the Americas’ will be hosted by Juanpa Zurita and Storm Reid. Juanpa Zurita is a Mexican social media influencer, vlogger, actor and model. He rose to fame in 2013 through making comedy videos on the Vine app. Zurita also tried his hands at publishing vlogs and entertainment videos on the YouTube platform.
Storm Reid is an American actress where her early film roles include ‘12 Years a Slave’ and the superhero film ‘Sleight.’ She had her breakthrough with the fantasy film ‘A Wrinkle in Time,’ for which she received Teen Choice Award and NAACP Image Award nominations.
Who all are performing?
The much-hyped event will see a host of global musicians like Dua Lipa, J Balvin, YG, Karol G and Kane Brown perform. Other artists include Yungblud, Finneas, Zara Larsson, Ne-Yo and James Blunt, among few others. Jimmy Fallon and Joel Kim Booster will provide the comedy chops, whereas RuPaul and actor Matthew McConaughey will also be present at the event.
