In the aftermath of the previous episode, Joe is trying to get over Love breaking up with him after she finds out about his real name. However, he is shocked to realize that Love moved on quite quickly as he sees a man snooping around her apartment.

He also sees this man later at the grocery store as Love and Milo — her late husband's best friend — notch up on their PDA. Of course, everyone around him senses his heartbreak, and everyone from Forty to Delilah asks him to get on online dating.

But this is Joe we are talking about, and he does his research before he makes an online dating profile for himself, after all, he would prefer horseback riding than the "barbaric" swiping that 21st-century dating calls for. However, his dating pursuits don't end well.

And so, on the advice of Gabe, Love's friend, Joe tries to work on himself. Gabe practices acupuncture and meditation on Joe, leading to the latter confronting what he is really afraid of — which is being abandoned by the ones he loves — by his mother in the past, by Love in the present.

Eventually, Joe ends up spending a night with Delilah — it starts with burgers and shakes, then a walk through Los Angeles, and ends with the two having sex in public. Of course, this being 'You', the two are arrested for public indecency. Forty comes to their rescue, however, and bails them out.

Unfortunately, Delilah ends up spending the night in Joe's place and finds the key to his storage locker. And as you can guess, she finds her way to it. When she is there, she finds all of the things Joe has collected in Los Angeles — most incriminating of all, Henderson's laptop.

Joe, however, catches her and traps her there, but promises Delilah that he won't hurt her or Ellie. Joe says he needs her to trust her and give him time to escape, after which she will be fine.

What is interesting here is that Joe managed to find a connection with Delilah — that did not involve him getting obsessed with her. Moreover, when he discovers Delilah in the storage unit, he looks pained to have to do what he feels he must to her. And like the real Will, Delilah may make it out alive.

All episodes of Season 2 of 'You' are now streaming on Netflix.
