Did Yeri tease Red Velvet comeback? Fans convinced it's in July as K-pop star gushes over 'perfect' Irene

A fan asked her to touch her nose if she is preparing for a comeback and Yeri did it promptly on her IG Live, hinting that the band will be here soon

SM Entertainment's Yeri just filled fans aka ReVeluvs with hope about a possible Red Velvet comeback. In her latest Instagram live stream, the K-pop star revealed her plans for 2021. She shared that she is currently preparing for her K-drama and she also plans to jump on the comeback schedule once she finishes the drama.

Speaking about her comeback, Yeri said, "Oh, I’m planned to prepare for it after I’m done with my drama... I want it to come out soon too!" The 22-year-old K-drama actress created a lot of buzz with not one but two exciting Korean drama projects — tvN's one-act 'Mint Condition' and web series 'Blue Birthday'.

Is Yeri teasing Red Velvet comeback?

Yeri live streamed on May 5 to interact with fans and answer their questions. A fan asked her to touch her nose if she is preparing for a comeback and Yeri did it promptly, hinting that a comeback is underway. She also talked in detail about her lead role in K-drama 'Blue Birthday' where she is playing an 18-year-old with bangs. She said that after she finishes the drama, she can shoot for the comeback.

Yeri swoons over Irene's beauty, calls her 'perfect'

Red Velvet stars have iconic friendships that fans can't seem to get enough of. In the live stream, a fan commented "you look like Irene", to which Yeri said, "I almost look like Irene... If I look more like her, will I be perfect like Irene?" A fan added, "Yeri also mentioned that the members ate takoyaki and tteokbokki together. Irene and Wendy were in charge of making the food while Yeri and Seulgi played around!" referring to Red Velvet's last get together.

Red Velvet comeback in July?

Though there is no confirmation, fans are speculating a July comeback for Red Velvet where a fan said, "so drew scotty, producer of psycho, that text with the girls regularly just confirmed he’s working on red velvet’s cb and they will be back in july. y’all first real confirmation before SM!" Another fan noted, "RED VELVET COMEBACK?!?! THE WORLD IS HEALING!" A fan shared, "since yeri said comeback preparations after her webdrama it usually takes 2-3 months so july will be red velvet’s month but honestly let’s encourage yeri bc she’s been working hard!"

Red Velvet last released the hit track 'Psycho' and 'The ReVe Festival trilogy' following which the super popular K-pop group also embarked on a tour starting in Seoul on November 23 and 24, 2019. But later, the tour was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Along with Yeri's solo drama ventures in 2021, K-pop star Wendy has also started something new this year by debuting her solo album 'Like Water.'
