Why was Yella Beezy arrested? Dallas rapper, 30, arrested for third time
MCKINNEY, TEXAS: Texas rapper Yella Beezy was arrested on Thursday, November 4 by Plano Police on sexual assault and weapons charges. The Dallas native, whose real name is Markies Deandre Conway, is currently held in the Collin County jail as the Plano Police Crimes Against Persons Unit is still investigating the case.
According to TMZ, the ‘That’s On Me’ hitmaker is held in the Collin County jail on a bond of $50,000. Speaking of rappers getting arrested, recently, hip-hop artist Paper Lovee was arrested by Atlanta Police for his alleged involvement in a shooting at a convenience store. Another rapper, SpotemGottem, also came under the radar of the Dallas Police Department in August 2021 for his suspected relation to a murder. Other hip-hop artists such as Polo G, Bandman Kevo and 9lokkNine too made it to the news for being arrested.

Why was Yella Beezy arrested?
Yella Beezy has been booked on three different charges i.e. abandoning or endangering a child and unlawful carrying of a weapon, as well as an outstanding warrant for a charge of sexual assault. According to Dallas News, the rapper posted $57,500 bond on Friday, November 5. It is unclear whether Beezy has an attorney or not. This is the third time when the rapper went behind the bars. Dallas police had arrested him in February 2021 on weapons charges. The case is reportedly still pending. He was again booked in August on gun and drug charges.
TMZ reported that Beezy had over 40 grams of a controlled substance plus a rifle and four handguns during the time of the arrest. The 30-year-old rapper also made headlines when he was shot three times in 2018 on the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Lewisville in a drive-by incident. Yella Beezy, who enjoys a massive two million followers on Instagram, is best known for his singles like ‘Bacc at It Again’, ‘Up One’ and ‘Goin Through Some Thangs’. He also earned fame for his mixtapes like ‘Ain’t No Goin’ Bacc’ and ‘Baccend Beezy’. He was raised in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas and shot to fame after he opened for Jay-Z and Beyonce in 2018 when the power duo performed at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Yella dropped a fresh track on Friday called ‘I Guess’ along with music video.

Social media logged into Twitter as soon as they got to know about Yella Beezy getting arrested. “But isn't all weapon carrying lawful in Texas?” asked one user while another chimed in, “Not only do they like those jail cells…they like the hot action they get to engage in while inside the jail cell with their male cell mate.” One individual tweeted, “Didn’t dawg just get out” referring to his previous arrest. The next one claimed, “Free him he did nothing wrong.” Meanwhile, one urged, ‘Cmon man, Thats on him, guess he couldn't keep it in the streets.” And, another concluded, “Anybody saying 'free him' in these comments should be stripped of their Twitter privileges.”
