Morph turns into The Incredible Hulk

In a surprising twist, Morph transforms into The Incredible Hulk to battle Bastion's army of Sentinels on his island base.

This not only confirms the Hulk's presence in the wider Marvel animated universe but also provides an epic moment as 'Morph Hulk' smashes through the Sentinels with brute force.

Jean Grey adds to the excitement by using her telekinetic abilities to propel Morph Hulk across the battlefield, turning him into a living wrecking ball.

It's a thrilling spectacle to witness as Morph Hulk wreaks havoc among the enemy forces, showcasing the versatility of the X-Men's powers in 'X-Men '97'.

Magneto makes a comeback in his classic costume

After escaping Bastion and Mister Sinister in the previous episode, Magneto triggers a massive EMP worldwide, disabling major electronic systems—a clear declaration of war against humanity.

In the new episode, Magneto appears in his classic red and purple costume, complete with his iconic helmet, which he hadn't worn in 'X-Men '97' until now.

Humanity's refusal to coexist peacefully with mutants seems to have pushed Magneto to revert to his old ways, ready to fight and even kill for mutant-kind's right to live freely.

There's a nod to the 2000s 'X-Men' film franchise

Cyclops gives his adult son from the future his X-Men uniform. Cable jokingly asks if Cyclops is getting ready for war or planning to join a circus.

Cyclops cleverly replies by asking if Cable was expecting them to wear black leather, referencing a humorous moment from the 2000 'X-Men' live-action movie.

In that film, where Cyclops had jokingly questioned Wolverine's preference for black leather over "yellow spandex."

DeMayo’s Diner

In one scene, Morph Hulk destroys a sign for DeMayo's Diner, a nod to 'X-Men '97' director and head writer Beau DeMayo.

Additionally, DeMayo also confirmed on Twitter that Bastion's volcanic island headquarters draws inspiration from James Bond villains.

Its location in the Galapagos likely references Charles Darwin, a contemporary of Mister Sinister. The 1950s diner, shops, and bowling alley at the center of the island seem reminiscent of the villain Poppy Adams and her headquarters in 'Kingsman: The Golden Circle'.
