In 'Episode 9', we discover that Bastion is a Technopath (He can control machines through telekinesis). The X-Men divide into 2 teams, one to find Magneto and the other to stop Bastion.
Surprisingly, Magneto appears, and the Professor urges him to reverse the damage to Earth, but Magneto declines. Instead, he invites the X-Men to join him, and Roberto and Rogue accept his offer.
On that note, here's a brief summary of how 'Episode 9' concluded without revealing anything further spoilers.
Mister Sinister takes control of Cable's mind
In the climax, Jean and Mister Sinister engage in a fierce battle until Cable intervenes, attacking Jean under Sinister's control.
Jean realizes Cable is being manipulated and tries to break the hold by invoking memories of his mother. However, this only exacerbates the situation as Cable declares his mother's superiority and intensifies his assault on Jean.
Scott witnesses this as Jean bids him a final farewell before a massive explosion occurs. The fate of Jean and Cable remains uncertain, leaving their survival to be determined in the season finale episode.
Magneto rips apart Wolverine from the inside
In the final battle of 'Episode 9', the blue team (Wolverine, Professor X, Cyclops, and Jubilee) heads to Magneto's hideout to stop him and undo the damage to Earth.
Professor X reveals that the only way to halt Magneto is to remove his helmet, which Wolverine successfully accomplishes. This action grants the professor an opportunity to enter Magneto's mind.
However, Magneto has become stronger since their last encounter and manages to resist. In a tense moment between Magneto and Professor X, Wolverine seizes the chance to sneak up behind Magneto and impale him with his Adamantium claws.
Enraged, Magneto focuses his attention on Wolverine and seizes control of his Adamantium-laced body, tearing it apart from within—a gruesome fate for Wolverine at the hands of Magneto.
We're aware that Wolverine has a rapid healing ability, so recovering from Magneto's attack isn't a major concern.
The crucial aspect of this scene is Magneto's intense fury and his willingness to go to extreme lengths to seek vengeance against humanity, even if it means killing mutants who oppose him along the way.
