Hulu's 'Wu-Tang: An American Saga' chronicled the origins of the iconic hip-hop group, Wu-Tang Clan as the RZA (then Bobby Diggs) brought together members of opposing hoods in Staten Island to create a massive rap/hip-hop group.

The first season of the show which debuted in September 2019 showed fans multiple stories -- even those they were not aware of -- of Bobby returning to New York, his brother going to jail, the death of Haze (based on real-life death of Ernest Sayon), Bobby's turn and his solo album as Prince Rakeem, with the season finally ending with most of the members coming together to record a track that would be a part of the group's debut album.

Hulu announced the renewal of the show in January 2020, so fans can expect the saga to continue.

Release date

An official release date has not been announced. We estimate the second season to debut in the latter half of 2020. Keep watching this space for updates.

Plot

As the first season ended, some members of the group came together to record a track that was then distributed by hand through cassette tapes among people. This garnered the attention of Steve Rifkind (played by Jake Hoffman) -- who in real-life helped pivot the group to success.

We also saw Bobby, his sister Shurie, and Dennis leave New York for Ohio after Bobby shot Attila who stole his tapes and was holding them ransom waiting for Bobby to pay up.

This sets up what could be the start of Season 2. The RZA was on trial a long time ago. He faced eight years in jail but was found not guilty by the jury. This was the turning point in his life and a little over a year later, the Wu-Tang Clan released their first album. This could be part of the plot in Season 2.
