Was KNK's Inseong flirting with Kim Lip? Loona fans lose their minds over speculated 'King of Masked Singer' act

A bit more aggressive K-pop fan comments went like, 'Aight, so we jumping him, 'KIM LIP HONEY I AM GOING TO SAVE YOU'

Is Kim Lip of the K-pop girl band Loona appearing in 'King of Masked Singer'? From the promo and the hints dropped by MBC Enetratinment’s next masked singers' list – where the studio has released a bunch of childhood pictures of the next singers – it surely appears so! Loona fans seem to have connected the dots and have taken to social media to announce that Kim Lip is coming on the show as "Bubblegum" on November 15. Looks like, the fans know it all. 

For those of you who don't know, the 'King of the Masked Singer' is a South Korean singing competition by MBC, which features popular celebrities who compete with each other under an elaborate mask designed by Hwang Jae Gyun. The identities of the singers aren’t revealed until they are eliminated from the shot. Each competition goes on for two episodes where the contestants compete one-on-one in three elimination rounds.

Here's a look at the hint that was dropped by MBC's official Twitter account. The hint loosely translates to: "A masked singer hint has arrived this week! Cuteness that will burst when you touch it! Cheerfull! Little? What is it? Sunday 6:20 PM"

The short preview of the upcoming episode of ‘King of Masked Singer’ has made some Kim Lip fans mad at they find KNK’s Inseong dancing to ‘Trouble Maker’ with the 21-year-old singer in what appeared to be flirty moves. One fan asked, “Is KNK pronounced as kink or what?” Another said, “We all know poor Lip was cringing and holding back a disgusted scream under the mask lmao”. More aggressive comments were like “Aight, so we jumping him”. And, “KIM LIP HONEY I AM GOING TO SAVE YOU."

KNK fans came to Inseong’s rescue as a fan posted, “Anyways, let's support both of them ♡ both are amazing vocalists and they deserve only the best please also check out KNK's recent comeback ride.” Another said, “Can you guys seriously like stop being disrespectful towards him for DOING HIS JOB. Jokes are okay and all but some of you are going to far.” She added, “Quit making it seem like she was forced to do it and that he's being a creep. They're both just doing their jobs.”

Recently, Kim Lip went viral in Spain after she took a Tiktok challenge while promoting Loona’s latest album 12:00] (Midnight). She took up a challenge from Cosmopolitan where she created a popular video in Tiktok of a famous celebrity in Spain, Anabel Pantoja. Soon, she became a trending topic in Spain along with Anabel Pantoja. Later, Pantoja said that she doesn’t know about the singer but grateful to her for taking up her dance. Due to a number of digital news picking up the story, she constantly trended in Twitter Spain.

Kim Lip is the sixth revealed member of Loona who debuted in 2017 shortly after which she went on to release her solo album as well. Lip has also acted in a number of dramas including ‘Do You Remember The First Time We Met’ and ‘Womanna’.
