‘Run Away’ won't return for Season 2 but there’s another must-watch Harlan Coben thriller coming to Netflix

Despite strong praise, Harlan Coben's 'Run Away' will not be getting a sequel and the reason makes total sense

With the jaw-dropping revelation that Aaron Corval (Thomas Flynn) was Ingrid Greene's (Minnie Driver) son, the high-stakes series 'Run Away' left plenty of storylines to explore in Season 2. However, despite its open ending, Harlan Coben's show isn't returning anytime soon. Nonetheless, Coben fans have a reason to celebrate as another of his series is set to premiere soon, offering fans a bit of consolation for 'Run Away' not coming back just yet.

Since its Thursday, January 1 release, 'Run Away' has been well received on Netflix and is presented as a limited series that completes the story from  Coben's novel. However, Netflix has no plans to continue it beyond its initial run, as the limited series tells its complete story in the first installment, treating it like other Coben adaptations, one-season event rather than an ongoing franchise, as per ScreenRant. Moreover, the chances of 'Run Away' returning for another season are very slim, as it's a self-contained adaptation of Coben's novel that resolves its central story and character arcs within its single season.

However,  Coben fans can look forward to another suspense-filled adaptation coming soon on Netflix, as per Show Snob. Besides  Run Away,' Coben's 'I Will Find You' is the only other Netflix adaptation confirmed for 2026. While no official release date has been announced, it's expected to arrive around March, following the pattern of last year's Coben adaptations. This means fans can look forward to at least two of his series on Netflix this year.

Created by Coben and Robert Hull, 'I Will Find You,' is an eight-episode series based on writer's 2023 novel. It stars Sam Worthington as David Burroughs, a man wrongfully imprisoned for his son's alleged murder, who embarks on a dangerous quest when he discovers his son might still be alive. While an early March 2026 Netflix release seems possible based on past patterns, the official date is still unconfirmed.

The cast of 'I Will Find You' includes Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, Erin Richards, Logan Browning, Jonathan Tucker, Chi McBride, Madeleine Stowe, and Clancy Brown. Like 'Run Away,' it's a limited series, with its complete story told across eight episodes. Production wrapped in August 2025, and the show is currently in post-production. If it follows the expected schedule, Netflix may announce the release date soon, with a trailer likely preceding a potential March 2026 debut.
