PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: After the intense finale of 'American Rust: Broken Justice,' fans eagerly await news of a potential third season for the crime series. However, as of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding the renewal of 'American Rust' for another season.

'American Rust: Broken Justice' is the second season of Showtime's 2021 series, which premiered on Prime Video on Thursday, March 28.

The second season came as a delightful surprise for fans, particularly after Showtime initially canceled the show following its first season, only for it to be revived later by Prime Video.

The series reunites the main cast and continues their journey in Pittsburgh, unfolding four months after the events depicted in West Virginia.

As of now, neither Dan Futterman, the show's creator, nor Prime Video has made any announcements regarding Season 3 of 'American Rust.'

However, there is still hope as the possibility of the series being renewed for another season has not been ruled out entirely.

The second season concluded with an exciting cliffhanger, leaving plenty of room for another season.

Should there be a Season 3, it would likely focus on Del Harris' (Jeff Daniels) journey as the new Sheriff of Fayette County and explore his evolving relationship with Grace Poe (Maura Tierney).

Meanwhile, Del's future remains uncertain as he continues to grapple with the consequences of his actions, setting the stage for a compelling narrative in the potential upcoming season.

'American Rust: Broken Justice' concluded with Del Harris once again walking away freely as the authorities fail to gather sufficient evidence against him in the triple homicide case.

However, in a twist of events, Grace Poe kills Chief Steve Park (Rob Yang) in order to save Del. While the couple believes that they have evaded the justice, they are unway of the troubles that are about to come their way.

Steve's murder is witnesses by Hannah Geddy (Rae Gray) and she miraculously survives the gunshot wound. With a witness to Del and Grace's crime, an exciting season awaits.

'American Rust: Broken Justice' is now available to stream on Prime Video.
