Will James Corden's 'Late Late Show' be canceled? Production co to be dissolved, say reports
The future of James Corden's television production company that makes his 'Late Late' show appears to be uncertain.
Fulwell 73 Productions LLP, of which the TV personality is a designated member, is reportedly set to be dissolved on Tuesday, December 14. It is the umbrella company to Fulwell 73's three other firms, one of which is also being dissolved, according to the Daily Mail. The firm is behind Corden’s 'Late Late Show' as well as the recent program that saw singer Adele open up about her divorce to Oprah Winfrey. The move to dissolve Fulwell 73 Productions LLP indicates that Corden is no longer involved in the business, which he joined in August 2017, the newspaper reported.

Official documents filed to Companies House showed that any remaining assets after dissolution would be transferred to the British Crown, although it's unclear how much those assets are worth. Per the company's latest accounts from 2019, Corden's show had a turnover of more than $33 million and a profit of over $15 million. Sources familiar with the company told the Daily Mail that the move to dissolve the firm — founded by Corden's old pal Ben Winston — was a "procedural technicality with HMRC" which "relates to accounts filed and delays due to the complexities of Covid accounting."
However, the production house’s five partners, including Corden, said in a statement that they are "as committed to the business as they ever have been" and that "Fulwell 73 is thriving." The team roped in celebrity public relations firm Freuds to deal with the press about the company’s current circumstances. According to the Daily Mail, there have been rumors of a falling-out between some of the business partners, but sources close to Corden denied there had been any row.
In January 2015, both Corden and Winston moved from London to Los Angeles to work on 'The Late Late Show'. Winston is the executive producer of the show presented by Corden. The pair reportedly met in 2003 on the set of British sitcom 'Teachers', where Winston was a runner and Corden a promising actor. Now, the duo is considered one of the most powerful partnerships in showbusiness.
While it's unclear what the move means for the CBS show, it has already attracted some of the world's biggest names including Tom Hanks, Anne Hathaway, and Ed Sheeran, who joined Corden on his sofa in the Hollywood studios. Corden also partnered up with Winston, 40, for the hit show 'Carpool Karaoke', which saw the likes of Michelle Obama and Adele join the host as he drove them around Hollywood singing songs in his car.
43-year-old Corden went from being a British TV fixture to a global star after his Hollywood arrival, hosting the prestigious Golden Globe awards and the Grammys, as well as winning several accolades for his own work in the States, including ten Primetime Emmys.
