Chanyeol and Sehun omitted from SM Town's upcoming concert, angry fans say 'EXO-SC deserved better'
EXO fans are having an eventful day. Right after EXO Japan fan group announced an upcoming ‘Let’s Catch Up’ Q & A session for EXO-Ls where Kai, Sehun, Chanyeol, Baekhyun were spotted with Lay returning to the unit, another announcement of an upcoming SM Town concert sparked outrage for not including the team unit EXO-SC in it.
Though the announcement for the SM Town concert didn’t take place from the official SM Entertainment page yet, fans found a Japanese poster for the event titled SM Town Live Culture Humanity scheduled for January 1, 2021, where EXO-SC were omitted from the list that included a bunch of SM Entertainment artists who will likely to be a part of the mega-concert. The star-studded artiste list includes TVXQ, SUPER JUNIOR, SuperM, Red Velvet, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, TAEYEON (Girls' Generation), TAEMIN (SHINee), BAEKHYUN (EXO), KAI (EXO), WayV, SuperM, Aespa, Raiden, GINJO, and IMALY.

Fans were shocked to see the omission of Sehun and Chanyeol, two EXO members who are a part of the subgroup EXO-SC. This led to fans outraging and slamming the entertainment mogul asking the company to treat their artists better. Fans flooded the social media sites with messages to SM Entertainment. A fan wrote, "They didnt gave our duo a beyond live concert.. .. not included in greeting sj.. not included in unboxing of ace kit.. activities ignored by merchbot.. now excluded in sm town concert..? Why you treat them like inactive members." While another said, “You better have a valid excuse:)” An EXO-L said, “No Promotion , No Music show, No Online Concert, No Line up SM Town Concert .This company NEVER promoted EXO_SC sub-unit SINCE they debuted. Be fair and don't impartial.” Another furious fan post read, “WHY ARENT THEY PERFORMING AT THE SM TOWN CONCERT MAKE IT MAKE SENSE WHAT THE F**K!” A user posted, “Its truly upseting that #EXO_SC is not part of the concert lineup.They worked so hard for their full album & to be treated continuously different than other sm artists is so frustrating & unfair.” Another post read, “They also hardwork for this sub unit! SM TOWN!! Give them what they deserve fix the line up! include Sehun and Chanyeol!”

EXO-SC consisting of Sehun and Chanyeol debuted with their unit on 2019. They released their debut extended play ‘What a Life’ contains six tracks on July 22, 2019. The sub-unit got their first award on KBS's Music Bank on August 2, eleven days after their debut. Their first full-length album ‘1 Billion Views’ released this year on July 13, which contains nine tracks.
