‘Love Island: All Stars’ Season 3 delayed just days before premiere after emergency overseas evacuation
Just days before its planned release, 'Love Island: All Stars' Season 3 hit an unexpected roadblock. Presented by Maya Jama, the third season of the reality series was first announced in August 2025 and was initially slated to premiere on Wednesday, January 14. However, the makers recently made an unexpected announcement postponing the release due to unavoidable circumstances.
The delay has been caused by the evacuations due to wildfires in South Africa. As per reports, the makers confirmed a last-minute delay to 'Love Island: All Stars' after production was evacuated due to wildfires in South Africa. The announcement comes just a day after the January 14 premiere of the new season was announced. In a statement shared on Instagram, the caption reads, "Further to a production evacuation owing to ongoing wildfires in the area, our assessment of the location site has concluded that filming will need to be postponed," adding, "Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed," as per The Hollywood Reporter.
'Love Island: All Stars' is a UK spinoff of the original 'Love Island' dating series, following returning islanders as they get another chance at love. Reportedly, islanders returning to the villa this season include Whitney Adebayo (Season 10), Millie Court (Season 7), Belle Hassan (Season 5), Helena Ford (Season 12), Jess Harding (Season 10), Leanne Amaning (Season 6), Ciaran Davies (Season 11), Jack Keating (Season 8), Sean Stone (Season 11), Tommy Bradley (Season 12), Charlie Frederick (Season 4) and Shaq Muhammad (Season 9).
Notably, Season 3 will air on ITV2 and be available to stream live or on demand via ITVX, where viewers can also catch up on the previous two seasons. The new season promises more surprises, with Lifted Entertainment's creative director, Mike Spencer-Hayter, teasing, "Love Island: All Stars has quickly established itself as a stand-alone hit, keeping fans of the show gripped by iconic Islanders from the past 10 years returning for another chance to find love."
He further added, "We are very excited about series 3 and you can expect the twists and turns to continue in All Stars, after an incredible smash hit summer series," as per Cosmopolitan. Additionally, 'Love Island: All Stars' airs for a shorter run than the main 'Love Island' series, which typically spans around two months. Earlier seasons were limited to five weeks, a deliberate decision by producers to avoid 'Love Island' fatigue among viewers. However, following the strong response to two highly successful seasons in 2025, the producers opted to extend Season 3 to six weeks.
Talking about Jama’s return, she has been the face of the franchise since her hosting debut in January 2023, when she took over from Laura Whitmore. Beyond 'Love Island,' the 31-year-old is also a panelist on 'The Masked Singer' and has previously co-presented BBC One's 'Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer' alongside Peter Crouch and Alex Horne.
