CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA: 'Love Is Blind' Season 6 sparked controversy among viewers who suspected it to be fake or scripted. The backlash stemmed from allegations that some contestants on the show were already in secret partnerships or had no genuine interest in getting married, contrary to the show's premise.

In the initial days after the show's release, shocking revelations surfaced on the internet, exposing contestants who were found to have existing partners outside the show and never intended to participate in the marriage aspect of the show. This revelation stirred significant criticism and raised questions about the authenticity of the Love Is Blind concept.

For instance, one of the contestants of the show, Trevor Sova, gained sympathy from fans due to the heartbreak he experienced on the show after being turned down by Chelsea Blackwell. However, Instagram account Reality Ashley revealed leaked chats that exposed Trevor having a girlfriend outside the show.

In these conversations, Trevor was seen discussing with his partner that he never had any intentions of getting married on the show, contradicting the emotional storyline presented on Love Is Blind. This revelation brought to light discrepancies in the contestant's true intentions and sparked disappointment among viewers.

Other contestants like Jeramey Lutinski, who paired up with Laura Dadisman on the show was also exposed to have a girlfriend outside. Not only Jeramey was busted after being caught cheating on the show, his ex-fiancée outside, Brittani Mcliverty, and her mother, Jenni, took to social media to share that the 32-year-old contestant was still engaged and residing with Mcliverty while simultaneously "applying" to be on the dating show.

"Did he ever tell you about his ex-fiancé from right before you? Surely not....Or the house WE sold a week or two before he filmed for this show?” Jeramey's ex-fiance commented under one of Laura's post. Her mother commenetd too, sharing images as proof which was shared by theshaderoom.

The controversy surrounding contestants having existing relationships or questionable intentions has heightened anticipation among viewers eager to discover how these revelations will impact the outcomes in the final episodes.

Is 'Love is Blind' scripted?

According to both the producers and contestants, Love Is Blind is not scripted and is authentic, albeit to some degree. The dynamics surrounding the couples and their engagements are genuine.

One key aspect is that couples are given the opportunity to form connections before committing to a long-term relationship. Many of them enter the process with a clear understanding of their desires, engaging in challenging conversations early on that could impact their future marriages. Notably, the couples who have exchanged vows on the show remain together today, providing evidence that the authenticity of the show is not compromised.
