Why Don’t We, the American boyband has their second album ‘The Good Times and The Bad Ones’ out and the internet can’t get enough of the bop-fest the album offers. Why Don’t We fans straightaway announce the album as a strong contender for the ‘Album of the Year’. Here’s everything that you need to know about the album.

Why Don’t We debuted in 2016 with five boyband members Zach Herron, Jack Avery, Daniel Seavey, Corbyn Besson, and Jonah Marais. To break from the conventional notion of just another boyband, WDW took their time to write, produce and compose their second album ‘The Good Times and the Bad Ones’ (TGTABO) resulting in an absolute banger that the fans can’t get enough of. Along with the boyband members, music producer  Travis Barker, Skrillex, and Timbaland collaborated in producing the album.

Speaking on their progress from the debut to now, Why Don’t We talked about their biggest challenge in making this album possible in an interview of Popbuzz.  “Our biggest goal was to prove to ourselves that we could do it," Corbyn said. "We surrounded ourselves with a team that really helped to push us and give us the confidence we needed. Once we had that confidence, it just became about writing the best music we could possibly write.”

(L-R) Jonah Marais, Daniel Seavey, Jack Avery, Zach Herron, and Corbyn Besson of Why Don't We perform onstage during HOT 99.5's Jingle Ball 2019 on December 16, 2019 in Washington, DC.

Lyrics

Speaking on their first song, ‘Fallin’, where the lyrics goes “Caught in the moment, not even thinkin' twice/Everything's frozen, nothing but you and I/Can't stop my heart from beating, why do I love this feeling?/Make me a promise, tell me you'll stay with me/If I'm bein' honest, I don't know where this leads/ But that's the only question, baby, don't keep me guessin'”, Zach said, “I feel like we all had the same gut feeling about this song. And it’s funny because it’s the last song that we made for the album and we were like, this is the one we needed to pull it all together.”

Another fan-favorite song of the album ‘Look At Me’ where the song starts with an evil laugh and goes “So, we'll keep it on the ground right there next to our clothes/ Do what you want to me nobody gotta know/ You know I'm really good at putting on a show/ Not so fast I think we need to slow down/ Oh, baby, pay attention listen to my voice
Pick your position baby I'll give you the choice/ I know you like it cause you're making all that noise, oh”, was actually inspired by ‘Joker’, the boys shared.
Jonah said, “We wouldn’t have had the experiences to write that one three years ago actually. That laugh at the beginning is actually Heath Ledger as the Joker” and Corbyn chimed in saying, “I’m excited for our older fans to listen to that song and get their reaction. I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people.!”
