Why producers canceled 'Valerie’s Home Cooking'?

Valerie claimed she had "no idea" why Food Network chose to cancel 'Valerie’s Home Cooking'. The streaming platform chose to not comment anything on the cancellation. Well, there is speculation that poor ratings could be one of the reasons. Or, did Valerie run out of the recipes? A fan took to Twitter to claim, "it's not always about ratings.they do run out of recipe and val might be tired of the show."

Shutting down the rumors, Valerie replied, "I’m not tired of the show even a little bit! I would do another 14 seasons in a heartbeat." Moreover, a few fans theorized the reason for cancellation to be 'Valerie’s Home Cooking' not being a competition show. A fan wrote, "You and Restaurant Impossibles. This just makes me furious! I think @FoodNetwork wants every show that airs to be a contest. Alex Guarnachelli I feel she's trying to be the next Bobby Flay Her show Alex VS America she competes against the contestants." Another replied, "@FoodNetwork is making a big mistake. Competition shows will fizzle. Valerie has the goods, humanity, and recipes we want. Reconsider." "#thefoodnetwork is going down hill. Valerie and giada are gone. Soon they will have only game shows," another fan tweeted.
