LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Valerie Bertinelli is bidding adieu to her cooking show. The 62-year-old Golden Globe winner shared "some good news and some bad news" with her Instagram followers, noting that the "good news" was that Season 14 of her cooking show, 'Valerie's Home Cooking', was launching on Sunday. She then delivered the "bad news," claiming that the cable network had previously told her that the show had been canceled.

In 2015, the Food Network show 'Valerie's Home Cooking' made its television debut. It showed the actress and her friends, including Betty White, Hoda Kotb, and Mackenzie Phillips, updating family recipes before serving them to their guests for dinner, as per People.

'A dream come true'

In the Instagram video, Bertinelli remarked, "I got some good news, and I got some bad news. The good news is that tomorrow at 12 noon on Food Network, the 14th season of Valerie's Home Cooking starts airing all-new episodes. The bad news is that it's its final season."

"Food Network canceled us last summer, I have no idea why. And I didn't say anything last summer because honestly, I was hoping they would change their mind. But they have not. So this is it, this is the final season. I have loved making this show. It was such a dream come true. Every single part of it brought me so much joy," Bertinelli added.

"I loved the crew, I loved everybody in production. They loved making this show for you. So, I hope that you enjoy this final season because we made every single episode with love for all of you," Bertinelli concluded.



 

Bertinelli captioned the video, "It has been one of the huge joys in my life to bring you this sweet little show, and I wish it wasn’t so, but the final season of Valerie‘s Home Cooking start airing tomorrow on @foodnetwork We loved making every single episode for you 🤍 and I will really, really miss it. Thank you so much for watching!"

'Love you Valerie'

The actress-host has posted her announcement video on her Twitter page as well which garnered reactions from her fans and followers. Online fans took to the Twitter post to express their rejoicing over the season finale as well as sorrow over the cancellation of the show. One fan wrote, "Love you Valerie Love your show and you recipes especially these Italian rainbow cookies I made from your recipe. Our family loves them. Hoping the @FoodNetwork has a change of heart." A second fan wrote, "That makes me sad! Loved watching you make your family’s and your own personal cuisines. As always, I will watch your cooking show! The BEST!!!" A third fan commented, "Im so sorry they canceled it.Valerie's Home Cooking was the best show on the network.14 seasons is a really good run for a cooking show .Many dont make it that long."

The reactions kept pouring with another follower commenting, "It’s been a great time watching and learning from your show! Our family has enjoyed it so much since the beginning first episode!
