UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: On Tuesday, May 7, 'The Voice' aired its first results show of Season 25, during which the Top 12 contestants discovered their fate, with nine progressing while three faced elimination. Notably, one of the fortunate nine was selected via an Instant Save by the audience, a decision that stirred mixed reactions among viewers for various reasons.

Tae delivered a rendition of "The Church on Cumberland Road" by Shenandoah during Tuesday's Instant Save performances.

On X, furious viewers wrote, "Okay, seriously though, I'm not mad Tae moved on over Zoe! I'm mad Tae wasn't voted for last night to take the 8 spot & the Save vote was used for Zoe tonight." Another user added, "Tae in the bottom was not on my bingo card."

One fan argued, "One day someone has got to explain what they see in Bryan that he's made it this far. Tae was better than most last night!" Another fan claimed, "Tae shouldnt even be in bottom!"

One fan wrote, "Tae Madison and Karen shouldve been the first 3 saved after last nights performances in comparison to the others… shit." Another person added, "Absurd that Bryan Olesen wasn't in the instant save sing off but Tae was in light of Monday night's performances."

Who competed for 'The Voice' Season 25 Instant Save?

Madison Curbelo and Josh Sanders secured spots in the top nine, while the remaining seven performers awaited further results.

Bryan Olesen was the next artist to advance to the semifinals, followed by Serenity Arce. Karen Waldrup clinched the last spot through America's initial vote. This meant that L Rodgers, Nadège Moss, Tae, and Zoe Levert had to sing in the Instant Save round.

Who is Tae Lewis in 'The Voice' Season 25?

Tae has faced his fair share of challenges. Despite his gospel background, he made the bold decision to pursue his passion for country music. Determined to break into the industry, he traveled to various places in pursuit of his dreams.

He recounts facing bewildered reactions as a Black country performer, often met with repeated rejections for gigs. At one point, he even experienced homelessness, spending six months living out of his car.

However, his fortunes changed when he joined the Black Opry and began to build a reputation for himself. He has achieved fame by appearing on CMT and landing a role on the sitcom "Shameless."

In addition to his accomplishments in music and acting, Tae has found success as a shoe stylist, drawing inspiration from his love for antique rural fashion. He has sold hundreds of cowboy boots and admits to building up his collection.

Tae, hailing from a family of pastors, initially pursued a career in gospel music but soon found his passion for country music. He aims to please his father and validate his achievements.
