Will Serenity Arce make it to the semi-finals? 'The Voice' fans claim singer risked spot with 'bad song choice'
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Serenity Arce, who previously competed on 'The Voice' but never advanced past the live shows, now she is in the top 12. However, fans are expressing concerns that she may have jeopardized her fate with her song choice for the live performance on the May 6 episode.
During practice, the 17-year-old stated that she intended to portray vulnerability in Olivia Rodrigo's ballad. And indeed, she delivered on that promise during her performance.

However, she fell short of communicating the song's wrath without losing pitch and seemed like she was shouting at us. Fans had hoped for a more impactful performance. Even Chance the Rapper's post-performance compliments seemed strangely muted.
On X, fans reacted to Serenity's performance, saying, "I wanted to like Serenity but... um... well... er... cute outfit?" Another fan added, "Love serenity but bad song choice. “Gosh I wish you had thought this thru”."
