The internet is a strange place. YouTuber Tyler Oakley's fans became instantly concerned when his name began trending on Twitter. Everybody began wondering why the YouTuber was suddenly trending out of blue. 

Turns out Tyler had nothing to do with his name trending heavily on Twitter. Tyler is the latest victim of the Kaceytron drama that seems to be spreading its arms far and wide. For the uninitiated here is a quick rundown of what has been happening with the Kaceytron drama. Kaceytron, a popular Twitch streamer got into a bit of a sticky situation when an old video of her using racial slurs resurfaced on the internet. Everybody began demanding for her to apologize for her insensitive behavior.

So, Kacey hopped onto a live session and clarified to her followers that she never used any racial slur. While she was explaining her side of the story, another major drama was brewing in the comments section of her live stream. One of her followers called into her live stream, and when he was added to her stream, her followers began commenting that the caller sounded like Tyler Oakley and Joey Graceffa. The caller was taken aback, and felt that being called or compared to Tyler and Joey was equivalent to being called a cuss word or slur, and got upset about it.

Soon Twitter was flooded with mixed reactions about the stream. While some users were amused over how anybody could possibly use Tyler Oakley's name as a slur, others were curious and confused over why Tyler was trending out of clue. A user tweeted, "Did they just say Tyler Oakley is a slur? Kacey a visionary- never knew you could be this stupid.." Another user wrote, "Like seriously acting like Tyler Oakley is an insult is shameful idk much about this situation but like id be honored to be compared to Tyler Oakley." 



 



 



 

Tyler's fans continued to shower him with praises for staying unproblematic and away from drama. A user shared, "I SAW TYLER OAKLEY TRENDING AND GOT SO UPSET LIKE NO KING YOU CANT DISAPPOINT US LIKE THIS but it’s fine we all good he’s still a blessing we get to keep him." Who is Tyler Oakley?

Mathew Tyler Oakley is a popular YouTuber turned actor, activist, and author. Tyler is known for his content and commentary about queer politics, pop culture, and humor. The 32-year-old was born in Michigan and began making YouTube videos in 2007. Following a short bout of depression after break up with a boyfriend while he was in college, Tyler turned to make YouTube videos for respite. Soon he became an internet sensation with over 683 million views. His first video titled 'Raindrops' had received 523,392 views on YouTube as of February 1, 2021.

Owing to his popularity on YouTube and other social media platforms, he was presented with an opportunity to meet former U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House. He also made a video with former First Lady Michelle Obama discussing various education issues. Tyler is considered one of the leading Celebrity Influencers in the world, with an impressive score of 99 on influencer marketing software Klear. In December 2020, Tyler announced that he was taking an indefinite hiatus from making Youtube videos.
