This year, the holiday season gets even better as Lifetime is bringing everything you love about Christmas together — food and the festivities! Lifetime's new romantic movie 'Christmas on the Menu' follows a chef and a food critic on a unique journey as they fall in love in the most magical of ways. 

Kim Shaw's Josie Jennings (Kim Shaw) is a celebrated chef who visits home to spend the holidays in her hometown with her mother, who has just opened a new restaurant. As it happens, the quaint town also sees the popular food critic Tanner Rhodes (Clayton James) visiting. As their paths collide, Josie and Tanner begin to get to know each other and soon find themselves falling in love.

Will Tanner manage to win Josie's heart by Christmas Eve? That you will only find out when 'Christmas on the Menu' premieres on Friday, December 18, 2020, at 8/7c. But before you catch the movie on your televisions, meet the stars Kim Shaw and Clayton James.

Canadian actress Kim Shaw plays the role of the chef who moves back to her hometown to assist her mother with her new restaurant. It is here that she bumps into food critic Tanner Rhodes and that changes her life forever. 

Shaw, known for her role on 'The Good Wife', 'Greetings from the Shore', has also worked with Sarah Jessica Parker in 'Sex and the City' and 'Did You Hear About the Morgans?'. Her role of Tina Bradley on MTV's comedy series 'I Just Want My Pants Back' and Dr Cassie Williams in Canada's number one drama, CTV's 'Saving Hope', are also recognised. Her profile gets more and more interesting. As it turns out, before she moved to Manhattan, Shaw was studying to become a criminal psychologist.

James is best known for his role of Kevin Townsend in Hallmark's hit series 'When Calls the Heart'. Recently, the actor was seen in several television movies including 'Ruby Herring Mysteries: Prediction Murder', 'Revenge for Daddy', 'Christmas on  My Mind', and 'Blueprint to the Heart'. 

In 'Christmas on the Menu', James plays the role of a famous food critic Tanner who had once-upon-a-time given harsh reviews to Josie. When they come face to face in Josie's hometown, they get to know each other better, the holiday spirit pulls them closer together and here begins a swoon-worthy romance. 

'Christmas on the Menu' also stars Katrina Norman as Pepper Fine, Jesse Kove as Nolan, Shanica Knowles as Iris Davenport, Stefanie Black as Marla Kravitz, Michael Steger as Stu and Lana McKissack as Nina. Written and directed by Jake Helgren, Lifetime's new romance teases a heartwarming love affair perfect for the holidays. Watch the trailer below.
