LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix is set to welcome a new action-adventure series into its roaster, as the Italian show  'Brigands: The Quest for Gold' is set to premiere on Tuesday, April 23.

The six-part series, directed by Antonio Le Fosse, Steve Saint Leger, and Nicola Sorcinelli, narrates the journey of a woman who abandons her past life and undergoes a remarkable transformation.

Set in the 19th century, the series follows Filomena (Michela De Rossi), who flees her hometown and joins a group of outlaws known as brigands. She transforms and changes her outlook on life.

As intriguing as the plot of the series sounds, it is equally backed by a great cast that breathes life into the characters.

Italian actress Michela De Rossi will portray Filomena in the series.

De Rossi, born on January 25, 1993, graduated from the Quirino International Theatre Academy in 2014.

After starring in a short film titled 'Primo' in 2017, she made her acting debut in the drama film 'Boys Cry' by Damiano and Fabio D'Innocenzo in 2018. 

In 2021, she featured in the HBO Max film 'The Many Saints of Newark,' which marked her breakthrough.

Her other significant credits include 'La profezia dell'armadillo,' 'Con chi viaggi,' 'While the Men Are Away' and 'Io e Spotty,' among others.

Giuseppe Lo Piccolo, an Italian actor born on November 19, 1986, portrays Salvatore in the show.

The actor had an interest in performing from his early days, and as an adult, he pursued careers in both film and theatre.

Piccolo made his film debut in 2012 with 'The Young Montalbano' and has since appeared in a variety of projects.

Cinque, born on April 17, 1972, made his acting debut in 'The Tulse Luper Suitcases, Part 1: The Moab Story' in 2003.

His other acting credits include 'Un'estate fa,' 'The Tearsmith,' 'Vanina,' 'DOC-Nelle tue mani,' and 'Into the Labyrinth,' among others.
