LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Stella Stevens' son Andrew Stevens revealed that his mother died in Los Angeles on Friday, February 17, while getting hospice care after a battle with Alzheimer's. Stella, who gave birth to Andrew at the age of 17 and soon found herself raising him alone, has previously talked about the challenges of doing so.

Stella expressed how she regretted the Playboy nude photoshoot as the images were used against her in the protective custody battle with her ex-husband, Noble Herman Stephens. Stella recounted how she resorted to Playboy to support her son. She previously stated, "I did the best I could with the skills I had and the opportunity given to me. I was a divorced mom with a toddler by the time I was 17, and Playboy did as much harm as it helped. But in spite of that rough start, I did OK," according to Deadline. On Friday, February 17, actor, producer, and director Andrew stated that his mother had Stage 7 Alzheimer's and had been in hospice care for "quite some time," according to the Sun.
