Olivia Newton-John’s final song: Fans heartbroken listening to star's 'Jolene' duet with Dolly Parton
BRENTWOOD, NASHVILLE: Olivia Newton-John's final recording of a song was a duet with her long-time friend Dolly Parton. Newton-John and Parton paired to sing the latter's all-time classic hit from the 1974 album 'Jolene.' The four-time Grammy-winning Newton-John died at the age of 73 after a long battle with cancer on August 8, 2022.
The beautiful rendition of Jolene starring the late Newton-John and Queen of country, Parton was released on February 17. The hit smash will be featured on the 'Grease' singer’s album, 'Just the Two of Us: The Duets Collection', out May 5, according to New York Post. The long-time friends recorded the song a few months before Newton-John's death.
