Who is Duchess Harris? Prof shares rare pic of Archie with mom Meghan Markle on call over book on racism
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A rare glimpse of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son Archie has been shared online by a scholar who claims to be working on a book about racism and the British Monarchy. Professor Duchess Harris, an expert in American studies and feminism, shared a screengrab of a video call with Markle and her mother Doria Ragland wherein Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, 3, can be seen sitting on his mother's knee.
The tweet caption read: “I would love to invite you to be a part of my next book project: Racism and the British Monarchy: A Meghan Markle Reader. Co-Edited by Duchess Harris and Julie Schwietert Collazo.” The interview comes after Lady Susan Hussey, a senior member of the royal household, resigned from her post as per Daily Mail. She was accused of frequently asking Ngozi Fulani, a black British charity activist, where she was "really" from. The controversy broke out as Prince William and his wife Kate, both 40, planned their first trip to the United States in eight years, where his estranged brother Prince Harry, 38, and wife Meghan, 41, reside.

In the now-deleted pic, the Duchess of Sussex was accompanied by her mother Doria, who appeared unassuming in the screencap, wearing a red T-shirt and pants. Markle was wearing a green top. The call which took place a few weeks ago is believed to have featured social impact consulting company CEO Jotaka Eaddy and American political strategist Donna Brazile. In the video call, Meghan appeared comfortable as she talked to multiple individuals on the video conversation while her son waited calmly on her lap, reported Daily Mail. Since his birth in May 2019, Archie has hardly been photographed, with Meghan and Harry only releasing a few images of the baby prince.
Coming to Hussey, the senior member of the Royal household, was accused of racism during a Buckingham Palace reception hosted by Queen Consort Camilla and Prince William supported his godmother's decision to resign her from the royal family. This news was followed by the revelation of the video call screengrab. After allegedly refusing to accept a black domestic abuse activist as British and asking her, "What part of Africa are you from," Lady Susan Hussey resigned. Upon learning about a visitor's experiences at Buckingham Palace, a spokeswoman for the Prince of Wales said it was "really disappointing," adding that racism has no place in our culture. “Racism has no place in our society, these comments were unacceptable and it’s right that the individual concerned has stepped dow.”
