Dan Swygart called a 'creep' for dating Shauna Rae the 23-year-old stuck in 8-year-old body
LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK: A man from the United Kingdom was slammed online for dating a woman stick inside a child's body. The 26 years old entrepreneur, Dan Swygart caused some controversy online after he posted a picture with TLC’s 'I Am Shauna Rae' personality Shauna Rae Lesick, 23.
In one of the recent clips of TLC’s 'I Am Shauna Rae', which also got reposted on Dan and Shauna’s social media pages, the TV personality was seen preparing sushi with Dan. In another clip, she was joined by Dan to participate in a ‘water date’. In the post, the pair were seen standing above their water boats in Shauna wearing a life jacket and enjoying the sunny weather.

Who is Dan Swygart?
According to Dan's LinkedIn page, he is the CEO and co-founder of the startup Raiseeasy, which helps businesses to raise investments through "hyped outreach campaigns." The Welsh entrepreneur has completed his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. Meanwhile, since the new posts of him with Shauna got out, several people criticized Dan in the comment section.
One Instagram user wrote, "Dan almost seems especially attracted to her BECAUSE she is tiny which is concerning. I am sorry." "I don’t know about this guy… I still think it’s creepy,” another added. Someone noted, “If any man or woman can honestly say that they can see her as a sexual woman, they are either lying or sick. PERIOD."
Meanwhile, in the same series, Shauna's family also expressed their concern that the 23-year-old would draw pedophiles due to her unusually childlike features. Shauna had struggled to find love and relationships in her adult life due to her stunted growth, a side effect of the therapy she received when she was a youngster to fight brain cancer.
Dan defended his relationship with Shauna
Dan quickly responded back through an Instagram post to critics claiming that he likes Shauna not because of her looks but because of her personality. He said, "It's very important to remember that Shauna is an incredible 23-year-old woman with a disability. So as you are building a connection with her, it's important to acknowledge her disability and look past that and build it with who she is as an individual.”
"She's this incredible, inspiring 23-year-old woman who just happens to be a little bit short. As soon as you say that she can't have a real-world connection with someone else, you dehumanize her, which is absolutely disgusting. She is a human being. She deserves to have relationships and connections with whomever she wants. And I think some people aren't emotionally mature enough to understand that you can have a deep connection based on personality rather than just on looks,” he added.
