'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' actress Akbar V is speaking out about wanting her music to be taken seriously and avoiding the drama on the show. Akbar V took to her Twitter on February 24 to share a series of messages about her desire to expand her rap career over acting.
"This shit be getting the best of me , sometimes i be wondering why u gifted me with such a beautiful talent cause you not letting me shine how i want too.... didn’t want to go back to television cause i didn’t want to look so dramafied... they saying no drama then soon ...." she wrote, adding, "Soon you walk into set producer telling you to turn up ... then tries to sabotage your character soon as things get too complicated.... i don’t want drama i want to Rap I’m a talented rapper ... it be feeling like nobody’s really working hard round me ... that’s shit eats me up."

One of the reasons Akbar references bullying in one of the aforementioned tweets is that she has drawn heavy criticism in the past for her unwarranted behavior. Back in May, MEAWW shared that the actress had been picking petty fights with all her fellow cast members on 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' and fans sought to have her removed from the show.
Who is Akbar V?
Akbar V is a supporting cast member on 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' since season eight, which chronicles her character's struggles to escape the hood and kickstart her career. Additionally, during the season, she seen feuding with Tokyo Vanity, Spice, Sierra and Shekinah.
According to her fan page on Love & Hip Hop Wiki, Akbar has had a rough childhood growing up in Cleveland Ave, with experiences including drug addiction, sexual abuse, the death of her mother and having survived a gunshot wound to the head. She has five children from previous relationships, including Dorribion who appears in the series.
Regarding her music, Akbar V has a number of songs already out, some dating back to 2017. She has also collaborated with a few artists such as Mika Means, Tink and Lil Mo. One of her most popular music videos up on YouTube is the collab with Lil Mo, titled 'Complicated'. Her solo tracks 'Always Be' and 'No Hook' also have significant views.
