Who dies in 'Extraction 2'? [SPOILER]'s death leaves a gaping void in franchise

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When it comes to action, there are a few movies that often come to mind. But with June in full swing, everyone is thinking about ‘Extraction 2.’ Chris Hemsworth plays the role of Tyler Rake in this sequel to the 2020 movie, ‘Extraction.’ The first movie had everyone worried about Rake’s future after his brush against death, but he has returned in ‘Extraction 2’ and is better than ever…almost.
After almost dying, Rake needs to take things easy, and that requires retirement, which he isn’t very good at. So, when he gets an assignment that is close to his personal life, he doesn’t think twice before jumping back into action, accompanied by his team members Nik Khan and Yaz Khan. If you thought ‘Extraction’ was action-packed, then you are in for a rollercoaster of action 'Extraction 2,' which doesn’t stop for 120 minutes. More action also means more death.
Who dies in ‘Extraction 2’?
‘Extraction 2’ most definitely had more bad guys than good guys, and that’s never a good sign. But the good guys had Rake, and he is the only person who can turn things around for his team, with of course Nik and Yaz’s help. Rake’s mission was to help a family escape a Georgian prison where they were being held against their will, under the false pretense of protection. ‘Extraction 2’ begins with two villains, Davit and Zurab, two ruthless brothers who spare no one. During the prison breakout, Rake kills Davit, which intensifies Zurab’s hate for Rake. Davit’s death was quick and almost satisfying for the viewers, although it took a huge hit on his son, Sandro, and of course, Zurab.
At the end of the day, ‘Extraction 2’ is all about Rake vs Zurab, which is symbolic of good vs evil, and it is very rare that evil wins, especially in movies. Nevertheless, Zurab put up a strategic and tough fight against Rake, leaving everyone convinced that this would be Rake’s last appearance. However, in a rather brutal and gory battle between the two, in a church nonetheless, Rake defeats Zurab, killing him for good. The death of Davit and Zurab did get rid of the villains in ‘Extraction 2’ but there was some emotion tagged to it after the movie provided the audience with flashbacks from when they were children.
Rest in power, Yaz Khan
Yaz returned in ‘Extraction 2’ and among all the characters, he is probably the only one who can occasionally bring some humor to the table. It was no secret that ‘Extraction 2’ was going to raise the stakes, and that would mean a non-villain death. Our guess was between the brother-sister duo, and Yaz took the fall. After Yaz gets brutally shot, the whole team piles into the helicopter, flown by Nik. Yaz’s death was one of the most emotional moments of ‘Extraction 2,’ if not the most emotional.
As Yaz takes his last breaths, Rake is right next to him, he gently closes Yaz’s eyes after his death. Nik is still flying the helicopter as she mourns her brother’s death, screaming as loud as she can. This scene in ‘Extraction 2’ had no action, but still was one of the most powerful scenes of the entire movie.
