Before she began seeing Kelly, Fox had dated quite a few notable names in Hollywood
To fans' delight, Megan Fox has announced that she is engaged to Machine Gun Kelly. Fox took to Instagram to share the news of their engagement. She posted a video of Machine Gun Kelly proposing to her under a tree.
In the video, a visibly overjoyed Fox can be seen expressing her surprise as Machine Gun Kelly sits on one knee with a box containing a ring in his hand. The pair can then be seen kissing. "In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic," Fox captioned the video, "We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma."
"Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him," she added.
Fox and Kelly reportedly met while the actress filmed 'Midnight in the Switchgrass' in 2020, and they made their relationship official the same year. The couple has publicly displayed their love for each other on various occasions. In a Valentine's Day tribute to Fox last year, Kelly had revealed on Instagram that he apparently wears her blood around his neck. "i wear your blood around my neck," he had captioned a series of images, one of which shows a round pendant with a drop of blood inside it.
Who are Megan Fox's exes?
Before she began seeing Kelly, Fox had dated quite a few notable names in Hollywood. The actress dated her high school sweetheart, Ben Leahy, from 2000 to 2003. In an interview in 2009, Fox had praised Leahy, saying, "He was very sweet and wonderful, really tall and big with a perfect body, and he was a badass."
Fox has also dated '7th Heaven' actor David Gallagher for a short while, 2003 t0 2004, when her acting career had just kicked off. Megan brought Gallagher along to the New York premiere of the film in February of 2004, but the pair called it quits the same year.
In the mid-2000s, Fox and Shia LaBeouf's on-screen chemistry in the 'Transformers' films was adored by her fans. The pair did spark dating rumors, but it was unclear if they really dated. Shedding light on their relationship later, LaBeouf had told Details magazine in 2011, "Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them. I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation", adding, "But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen." Fox later opened up about their relationship too, saying during an episode of 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen' in November 2018, "Um, I mean, I would confirm it was romantic. I love him. I’ve never been really private about that. I love him.”
In June 2010, Fox married Brian Austin Green. The pair welcomed three sons together -- Noah Shannon, Bodhi Ransom and Journey River. In 2020, Green confirmed that the two have decided to go their separate ways. "I will always love her. And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family what we have built is really cool and really special,” Green had said.
