Jodie Foster isn't new to award ceremonies. The renowned actress has racked numerous awards during her career in acting. But her Golden Globes 2021 win tugged at the heartstrings of viewers after she planted a kiss on her wife's lips to celebrate the victory. Foster and her wife Alexandra Hedison were also clad in pajamas as they graced the award show from their home while cuddling their pet pooch. 

As Foster won the award for Best Supporting Actress in Motion Picture for 'The Mauritanian', fans rushed to Twitter to shower her with compliments, while many seemed curious about her little family, especially Hedison.

Who is Alexandra Hedison and what does she do?

Hedison is a fine art photographer who is popular for the exhibition of her work over the years. She represented her work in public and private collections worldwide and reportedly, her photographs have been displayed in museums and galleries across the world. 

Besides being known for her artistic skills, Hedison is also remembered for her past relationship with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. The duo is believed to have dated between 2001 and 2004. Taking about her former girlfriend, Hedison told The New York Times in 2004, "I’d have to be Oprah to compete with her." It is also said that she gave up her acting career to focus on photography. 

How did Jodie Foster and Alexandra Hedison meet?

Since Foster and Hedison remained low-key about their relationship, a few reports suggest that they began dating sometime around 2013. It came as a surprise to fans in 2014 when Foster revealed that she and Hedison had married after dating for a year. The couple doesn't have any children of their own and prefer to keep their relationship away from the spotlight.
