'Dr Pimple Popper': Dr Sandra Lee meets reluctant patient Djuka who has a decade-old bump over his eye

Djuka told Dr Sandra Lee that he has a growth that he describes as a 'bulb' over his right eye, which he neglected for nearly 10 years

UPLAND, CALIFORNIA: Djuka is a tenacious man with a ten-year-old bump over his eyes. After years of ignoring what might be a deadly problem, he finally chooses to see Dr Sandra Lee.

Fans of 'Dr Pimple Popper' met a patient named Cedric earlier this season. Cedric, like Djuka, went to Dr Lee with "dense knots" on his body, particularly the one right over his right eye. Dr Lee examined him for multiple bumps on his body. She was more worried about Cedric's diabetes management than about his lumps. When it came to surgery on him, his diabetes constituted a concern. Dr Lee, on the other hand, came through and at the end of the episode, Cedric was overjoyed with his results.

Who is Djuka?

Djuka has a growth that he describes as a "bulb" over his right eye. He neglects to notice it till he looks in the mirror. He tells the TLC camera that the lump is hard to feel. However, in retrospect, it is possible to move it around, which, as we all know, is a good sign in Dr Lee's books. However, there is no pain, according to Djuka.

Djuka describes how he once had a spider-like bite above his eye. He also claims that he was never hit in that area. It developed gradually over the years. To make matters worse, Djuka never took the initiative because it didn't bother him much. He simply left it alone and hoped that "it would go away."

After five years, his friends and relatives kept asking him whether he was going to do anything about the bump. He'd merely said 'okay' and went about his business as usual. He just wanted everybody to stop talking about it at that moment.

Djuka never had a family doctor and never went to one. He added that he was rarely unwell until now, as an adult, when he is attempting to take some responsibility. "I'm not (a) proponent of any medical procedures," Djuka told the camera.

What happened to Djuka on 'Dr Pimple Popper'?

When Djuka finally chooses to meet Dr Lee, he brings along his long-time buddy Eric. According to Dr Lee, he was hesitant to remove the "pretty big bump on his brow." Dr Lee is unsure what form of growth it is, but its placement alone raises concerns. Djuka tells Dr Lee that it didn't bother him too much, which is why he left it alone for so long. His pal adds that because Djuka isn't really sociable or goes out much, he's "learned to live with it." Djuka acknowledges that his apprehension stems from "not wanting to go under the knife."

Dr Lee was pleased to observe how easily the lump slid around after having a close look. "That's a good sign," she continues. She wasn't sure what it was, but she could feel a few bumps in the region. This led Dr Lee to believe it was not a "standard cyst." Dr Lee admits in her confessional that Djuka dislikes going to the doctor. So she realized she'd have to use her best charm, which she considers to be one of her "secret superpowers."

Where is Djuka now?

Djuka seemed uneasy dealing with his problems from the start. Dr Lee was perplexed as to why, after all these years, he had not opted to remove this bulge. With this bump, he let his fear control him. Djuka appeared concerned after all these years since the bump was slowing his chances among the ladies. Another terrified guy in Dr Lee's library.

Djuka finally agreed to let Dr Lee do surgery on him. Dr Lee had to be particularly cautious around the feisty blood artery during the operation, lest he poke his eyeball out. That was the last thing Djuka could handle at a doctor's office. The weight of that bump brings forth a new man. Djuka appeared to be an entirely different guy, happier than ever and with a wonderful smile on his face.
