Episode 5 of ‘Walker’, The CW’s reboot of the iconic long-running series ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ is titled ‘Duke’. The show revolves around the eponymous lead, a hothead Texas Ranger and a widower, who tries to balance his obsession with his wife's suspicious murder, his duty towards his children, and his work. The episode saw Cordell Walker’s (Jared Padalecki) past come back to haunt him. When his past unexpectedly collided with his present life, Walker was once again forced to resume his undercover identity to keep his family safe.
Micki Ramirez (Lindsey Morgan), Walker’s partner and one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history, too, got caught up in Walker’s old case while August threatens to blow his father’s cover. The episode also saw Trey (Jeff Pierre) start his new job. Trey was introduced in the first episode. He is Micki’s boyfriend -- sort of. He is a former army medic.

What will happen in ‘Walker’ Episode 6 and when will it air?
Season 1 of ‘Walker’ premiered on January 21 on The CW. New episodes of ‘Walker’ will air on the network every Thursday at 8 pm Eastern Time and 7 pm Central Time, only on The CW. Every episode of the show will be available to stream on The CW app and CWTV.com, the day after broadcast, for free and without a subscription.
A new episode of ‘Walker’ has not been announced as of yet. The next couple of weeks will see old ‘Walker’ episodes being aired once again. February 25 and March 4 will see episodes 1 and 2, the pilot and ‘Back in the Saddle’, air at the usual time. A yet unnamed episode, as per FutonCritic, will air on March 11, 2021.
So far, no details for the episode have been provided. It is also not clear why no new episodes will air in the next couple of weeks, especially considering that ‘Walker’, Executive Produced by Anna Fricke, Dan Lin, Jessica Yu, and Lindsey Liberatore, has been an unexpected hit for the network. This, despite the fact that the show has received little critical acclaim.
As per a press release by The CW, ‘Walker’, which scored the network’s largest audience for a new series premiere (2.43 million), was renewed earlier this month for another season. Part of a package of 12 current scripted series, ‘Walker’ was renewed for the 2021-2022 season. Additionally, The CW has ordered five episodes for this season of ‘Walker’, bringing its total episode count for 2020-2021 to 18.
“Though we’re just a few weeks into the new season, we wanted to get a strategic head start on next season with these early renewals, which allows our production teams to start laying out story arcs and hiring staff, and at the same time, continues to provide us with a strong, stable schedule to build on for next season,” said Mark Pedowitz, the chairman and CEO of The CW network.
