When will 'The Unicorn' Season 2 return? Here's what to expect from Wade, his loved ones after Covid-19 break
‘Laughter is the best medicine’ – sounds cliché but it does work most of the time. Especially, during these stressful and uncertain times. And that is true with our TV shows as well. A good comedy series actually helps you and take your mind off for some time. The good news is the sitcom ‘The Unicorn’ has been renewed for a second season. It is created by Bill Martin, Mike Schiff and Grady Cooper for CBS which premiered last year.
The series stars Walton Goggins, and is centered on a tight-knit group of best friends and family who help Wade (Goggins) to move on after the demise of his wife. The single parent to his two daughters decides to take a shot at dating again. And to his surprise, he is quite in demand with women – because of his single widower and a dedicated father status. He is encouraged by his supportive family and friends. The series also stars Rob Corddry, Michaela Watkins, Omar Miller, Maya Lynne Robinson, Ruby Jay, Makenzie Moss and Devin Bright. It has been renewed for a second season and here are the details of the same.
Where we left off?
The season one final episode, titled ‘No Matter What the Future Brings’, is about Grace (Ruby Jay) ready to go to her first high school dance. Unfortunately, her date comes down with pinkeye and she decides not to go. Wade steps in and helps Grace by finding her a date. On the occasion of Jill’s birthday, Wade visits her grave. When he’s there, he runs into a woman and helps her catch an injured skunk. It seems he has kind of found a connection with her, however, he doesn’t know much about her.
What we'd like to see?
First and foremost, we need to know more about the woman, who Wade feels he has a real connection with. And, if they actually click, will she be able to blend in with Wade’s friends and, most importantly, his daughters. Also, we would like the show to focus on Grace’s romantic life as well.
When is it returning?
According to a Deadline report, ‘The Unicorn’ is expected to start filming Season 2 on Monday, October 12. However, there’s not much information about the premiere of the new season. We update this space whenever we get to know more details.
