The 'Kissing Booth' star Joey King shared some exciting news for fans after accepting her award at the People's Choice Awards 2020. The 21-year-old actress took home the Comedy Movie Star of 2020 award for her role in 'The Kissing Booth 2'. During her acceptance speech, an excited King teased a few interesting details about the release of the hit Netflix movie's third installment. She said, “I’m so excited, this is so exciting! Oh my god!” Joey said. “When I got nominated, I never thought that I would win because I’m nominated against such incredible people, but I did, so, HA! No, I’m just kidding.”
She used the opportunity to thank the director of the movie Vince Marcello, the streaming network before revealing the much-anticipated information about the next installment of 'The Kissing Booth. King said, "I told myself that if I won, I would share a very exciting piece of news with everybody, so… I want to tell you that Kissing Booth 3, our final installment, is going to be released in summer 2021! I am so excited, I wish it was tomorrow! I really, really wish it was tomorrow! Thank you guys so much! Thank you for loving this movie, and loving this character as much as I do, it means so much, so thank you!”
Similar to many celebrities, King also reflected on the year 2020 and said it's been "weird". However, she was glad that her movie offered people light-hearted entertainment and laughter to get through the trying times.
Soon, fans of the romantic-comedy movie surfaced on the internet to thank the young actress and express their excitement about the news she had to share.
