Good news, ‘Pluribus’ fans! The season finale is arriving earlier than expected — here’s when you can watch
With each new episode, the intrigue surrounding the mysterious hive-mind in Apple TV+'s 'Pluribus' continues to intensify. The final moments of episode 8, titled 'Charm Offensive', tease a possible meeting between Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn) and Manousos Oviedo (Carlos-Manuel Vesga), making the wait for the season's final episode harder than ever. And in some good news, viewers will be able to watch the next episode of 'Pluribus' two days earlier than its originally scheduled release.
The 'Pluribus' finale has been moved up by two days, cutting short the wait for fans from seven days to five. As per reports, Apple TV+ is opting to release the episode earlier than its originally planned Friday, December 26, date to avoid a Christmas-night drop, as per Feature First. The 'Pluribus' finale will now release on Tuesday, December 23, at 6 pm PST/9 pm EST, making another instance where Apple TV+ shifted the schedule, similar to its earlier Thanksgiving adjustment to avoid a holiday release.
Talking about the final episode titled, 'La Chica o El Mundo,' it runs for 57 minutes, and its official description reads, "Season finale. Manousos arrives in Albuquerque and complications ensue. Carol visits the last best place on Earth." The finale title 'La Chica o El Mundo' translates to 'Your Girl or the World,' seemingly framing a moral choice between Zosia (Karolina Wydra) and saving humanity, suggesting Carol may be forced to decide where her loyalties truly lie.
To add more, 'Pluribus' has already been renewed for a second season, making fans' anticipation peak through the roof, and creator Vince Gilligan says he has a clearer sense of the show's endgame than usual. "At this moment, I have more of an idea of how the show should end than I usually do… certainly [more] than I did on Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul," Gilligan told ScreenRant.
Still, Gilligan stressed flexibility, adding, "I will always quickly get rid of a good idea for a better idea…we have a general roadmap of where the show should go." As for its overall length, he admitted uncertainty, noting, "I don't know how long the show should go…The biggest trick in this job is knowing when to leave the party. You want to leave people wanting more."
