What happened in 'My 600-Lb Life' Season 12, Episode 3?
We were first introduced to Delana Boyer from Greenville, Tennessee, in the third episode of the season. She has a history of experiencing difficult times, which has led her to turn to food.
At the start of the episode, Delana weighed 646 pounds. Due to her weight, she doesn't leave the house and needs help getting around.
"The first thought that I have when I open my eyes is I made it to another day." In the episode, she remarked, "I didn't die in my sleep."
Delana was at last prepared to turn her life around. Over the course of a year, she started working with Dr Now, the resident surgeon on the show, in Houston, Texas.
Delana's attempt to lose weight didn't start off well. She was expected to have shed fifty pounds by the time she saw Dr Now for the first time, but she ended up gaining five pounds.
But that failure really appeared to motivate Delana to do things correctly the following time. She weighed 578 pounds and had been given the go-ahead for bariatric surgery when she met Dr Now again.
She weighed 539 pounds at the time of the treatment, and she planned to shed 20 pounds every month afterward. Delana is shown walking more confidently than ever in a few of her last scenes in the episode, and she is even able to go on dates with her husband.
