The new edition of the singing show, 'The Voice: Battle of Champions', introduces major format changes, including coaches competing for the most 3-Chair Turns and a Super Steal rule in the Battles, which promises a fresh and unpredictable competition. The show is set to premiere on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 9 pm ET /8 pm CT on NBC, with new episodes airing weekly on Mondays and streaming the next day on Peacock, as per NBC.

The season will kick off with three extended premiere episodes, airing on Sunday, February 23, at 9 pm ET, followed by episodes on Wednesday, February 25, and Thursday, February 26, at 8 pm ET. For the later episodes, 'The Voice' will return to its regular Monday 9 pm ET time slot, with 'Brilliant Minds' airing afterward at 10 pm ET, as reported by Entertainment Now

Notably, NBC revealed in July 2025 that 'The Voice' Season 29 will debut a special 'Battle of the Champions' format, bringing back iconic Coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend. Clarkson returns after leaving the show in 2023, original coach, Levine, comes back with three career wins, and Legend rejoins following multiple successful seasons, including his fan-favorite first win with Maelyn Jarmon. In a break from tradition, season 29 will feature only three coaches instead of the usual four to fit the new format.

Not only that, but CeeLo Green will also return to 'The Voice' in a special role during the Knockouts, judging the In-Season All-Star Competition, where returning alumni face off in sing-offs. His decisions will shape the finale by determining which Coach is guaranteed two Artists in the Final round. 'The Voice' Season 29 will unfold across four rounds: Blind Auditions, Battles, Knockouts, and the Semi-Finals/Finale, where each Coach will have 10 singers. New twists include a Triple Turn Competition in the Blinds, a Super Steal advantage in the Battles, and Knockouts featuring returning fan-favorite alumni, with the top-performing coach earning an extra finalist in the 'The Voice' Season 29 finale.
